Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHÂTEAU LAMARTINE
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Complex, slightly spicy, attractive, intense, ripe warm plum nose with some savoury, sandalwood-cassis notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, intense, youthful, ripe plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, gently cedary finish. This mouthfilling blend of 90% Malbec and 10% Tennat has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1801 on the back label. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and cement tanks and the wine matures in a mix of older large format barrels for 12-14 months. This is the 4th and best Vintages release to date.
