Côtes du Rhône-Villages 2020 AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Domaine Autrand
Very deep intense purple colour. Intense, very slightly spicy, ripe, plum nose with some gently complex, sandalwood-tinged notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, youthful, fairly robust, ripe plum-cranherry flavours with a lingering, still somewhat grippy, mouthfilling finish. Great with a rib steak. This blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah has 15% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L22101 on the back label. CSPC 200030

TASTING NOTE: This is 70% grenache, 30% syrah. It is quite fulsome and rich, with plenty of flavour for the money, but tilting to overripeness with black cherry/pruny fruit, with considerable black pepper and some shrubby character. Quite thick, dense a touch sweet with licorice and tarriness on the finish. The length is very good to excellent. Score - 89 (David Lawrason, winealign.com, March 2022) Price $ 15.95
