Ansari Amarone della Valpolicella 2017 DOCG
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Tedeschi
Astonishingly delicious and showing beautifully now. Deep intense purple-ruby colour and a remarkable, vibrant, fresh nose with fresh roses, ripe Damson plums, raspberries and black cherries. It’s dry, full bodied, very rich and yet harmonious with slightly spicy, complex, gently earthy, intense, ripe Damson plums with some strawberry-blueberry-black-cherry compote and a lingering, very bright, vanilla-tinged, slightly smoky. autumnal chestnut flan finish. Made from 40% Corvinone, 35%, Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta, it has 17.5% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar with lot number 2017 L11 on the back label. CSPC 16103

A Best Buy
TASTING NOTE: Incredibly dense aromas and flavors of fresh and dried black fruit, including currants, crushed berries, dates and passion fruit, together with notes of perfumed bark and walnuts. Full and fruity with a very fine tannin framework to push the complex fruit flavors forward. Super long finish. Shows remarkable control, despite the 17.5% alcohol declaration on the bottle. So drinkable now, but should age very well, too. Score - 94 (jamessuckling.com, Oct. 22, 2021) Price $ 55.95
