| This Vintages release best buy has a bright deep intense youthful purple colour and a very attractive, slightly spicy, gently cedary, fairly juicy, ripe, Damson-plum-cherry-cassis nose. Fairly dry, medium to medium-full bodied, harmonious and nicely structured with slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry-cassis flavours followed up by a lingering, very faintly smoky, gently cedary, bright finish. The old, dry-farmed Monastrell vines was grown on stony limestone soils and fermented in open-top stainless steel tanks followed by 12 months in French oak barrels. This 100% Monastrell (aka Mourvèdre) has 15% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-01120H8 on the back label. Delicious and ready-to-drink. |
