CHÂTEAU LARROQUE 2018 Sustainable, AC Bordeaux Supérieur
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer
This 59 hc estate bordering on Graves on the Left Bank has a fairly deep intense purple colour. The nose is very attractive with violet-tinged, bright, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis fruit along with some elegant toasty notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, bright, ripe, plum-cassis-black-cherry flavours with a lingering, still somewhat grippy, well structured, gently cedary finish. Stunningly bargain-priced, this excellent still youthful blend of 51% Merlot and 49% Cabernet Sauvignon has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2019 on the capsule. Perfect with steak and especially rare roast beef, it can still age for a few more years. The recommended best buy 2016 (**+) was released on June 12, 2021 at $17.95. CSPC 92536
