Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LA CHIMERA D'ALBEGNA
Fairly deep intense red colour. Slightly spicy, bright, intense, juicy, plummy, black cherry with lots of sandalwood notes on the nose. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, intense, slightly spicy, somewhat rustic, sandalwood-tinged, bright, ripe Damson plum flavours with a lingering, very slightly tannic, faintly herbal finish. This tasty blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Alicante Bouschet has 14.5% alcohol a 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L06/20 on the back label. Try with rare roast beef. NEW in Vintages.
