BRENTINO MERLOT/CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2018 IGT Veneto
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MACULAN
Bright very deep intense purple colour. Intense, slightly spicy, ripe black cherry puree nose with some faintly smoky, cedary-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, nicely structured, bright, black cherry, cedar, sandalwood flavours with a lingering, fruit driven, bright, attractive finish. This well-made, very tasty blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2206 on the back label. Half of the wine was aged for one year in stainless steel tanks and half in French oak barriques of which 1/3 was new oak which keeps the fruit gently complex and yet bright and fruity. Quite delicious and ready-to-drink. CSPC 708297
