OLD TESTAMENT CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2019 Coonawarra, South Australia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SISTER'S RUN
A FOURTH REPEAT of the recommended 2019 (**+) that was last released on April 30, 2022 at $17.95. Assessed from a freshly purchased bottle. Here is one of the most popular Aussi reds in Vintages. This well priced Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon gives many Cabs out there a real run for the money. Extremely deep purple colour. Attractive, intense, ripe, juicy, black-cherry-cassis nose with some cedary, faintly mocca-chocolate notes. Dry, medium-bodied, nicely well structured, harmonious, fairly intense, gently spicy, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, bright, harmonious, cedary finish. This ready-to-drink, tasty, well balanced, crowd-pleaser has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2-39-9 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure - great with ribs and lamb. CSPC 478271

TASTING NOTE: This wine is a concentrated, beautifully detailed Coonawarra expression of the terra rossa soils of the Old Testament Vineyard. It's ripe and stylish, with dark fruit, white pepper spice, earth, and hints of chocolateinfused coffee. This has the potential to cellar and evolve for another 5-8 years, or try it tonight with grilled meats or mushroom burgers. Price $ 17.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
Tasting Date vintages release - July 16, 2022
