EPIPHANY SHIRAZ 2019 McLaren Vale, South Australia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SISTER'S RUN
This popular, expressive, new 2019 Shiraz is now making its 17th appearance in Vintages since 2000. It is perhaps the best yet and has a very deep bright intense purple colour. Very attractive, spicy, juicy, bright, intense, ripe, plummy, black cherry, raspberry nose with some some slightly smoky, cedary notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, spicy, intense, very juicy, attractive, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, bright, harmonious, cedary, mineral-tinged finish. This versatile, terrific-value, crowd-pleaser has 14.5% alcohol, only 1.2 g/L residual sugar (not 6 g/L residual sugar) and 5.9 g/L total acidity with lot number L1351 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. Retasted from the original CORAVIN screwcap bottle on September 25 and discovered that it is now even better than before (using a Riedel Double Magnum Ouverture 001 glass).
