| This new 2018 vintage is one of the best releases yet. It has a very deep intense purple colour. Attractive, complex, intense, slightly spicy, ripe, plum-black-cherry-cassis nose with some very bright, cedar-vanilla-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, intense, very attractive, ripe, plum-black-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, bright, gently cedary, mineral-tinged, fairly extracty finish. This extremely tasty totally new blend of 44% Sangiovese, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Merlot (37-31-32 for the previous 2017) has 15% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L21264 on the lower part of the glass bottle. The best buy 2017 (***) with 92-points was released on November 13, 2021 at $29.95. |
