Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHÂTEAU LE GRAND RETOUR
This new 2019 edition of Plan de Dieu is the 16th Vintages release. Very deep intense purple colour. The nose is very juicy and ripe with lots of spicy, intense, attractive, plum-black-cherry-cassis fruit. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, spicy, fairly intense, nicely structured, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, harmonious, bright finish. This blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre has 15% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L21342C on the upper part of the glass bottle. A versatile, very tasty, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser. The recommended best buy 2018 was released on December 11, 2021 at $15.95. CSPC 224592

TASTING NOTE: This elegantly framed, complex wine comes from 45-year-old vines and is rich and round, with welldefined fruit, plum, spice, leather and minerality. An impressive wine, perhaps its most striking facet is the value it offers. It will cellar for another three years and will be delicious tonight with grilled ribs or eggplant-and-porcini \"meatballs.\" Price $ 16.95
