SHIRAZ/CABERNET 2019 Vegan, McLaren Vale, South Australia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MONTERRA
NEW in Vintages. This Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon blend has a very deep intense purple colour with a fairly lush, ripe, black cherry purée nose with some cedary-cassis notes. Very dry, medium bodied, well structured, intense, rather youthful, still slightly peppery, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a a lingering, gently cedary, bright, crisp finish. Would work well with a t-bone steak. Has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L290106 on the back label and L1312 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. CSPC 23790

TASTING NOTE: This example of Australia's classic blend is 80% Shiraz. It deftly manages its power, offering a silky, refined character. It's complex and balanced, with dark fruit, plum, cigar box, chocolate, oak spice, and a gorgeous cassis courtesy of the Cabernet. Try this with grilled burgers or vegan mushroom risotto. Enjoy through 2026+. Price $ 19.95
