Fairly deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, bright, ripe plummy nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, ripe plum-cherry purée flavours with a lingering, crisp, faintly smoky, gently cedary finish. This ready-to-drink, crowd-pleasing blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah has 15% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L05102 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TASTING NOTE: Darker, almost blue fruits as well as mineral, leather, and peppery goodness all emerge from the 2019 Gigondas Romane Machotte, a very traditional, medium to full-bodied Gigondas based on 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah.
