This is new Vintages Essential (April 1, 2021) was recently assessed at a comparative tasting of Rías Baixas Albarino. Bright medium straw colour. Attractive, fairly intense, spicy, fresh, gently complex, very ripe, apple purée nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, mineral-tinged, slightly spicy, harmonious, ripe, apple-melon flavours with a bright, lingering, unoaked finish. Has 13% alcohol and about 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L10921 on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: Another fine, fragrant, highly perfumed albariño from the reliable house of Paco & Lola, with inviting floral notes and plenty of green citrus. I love the crisp, dry, refreshing palate, the sharp, ripe acids and the very good length. A superior example. Score - 90 (John Szabo, MS, winealign.com, Aug. 9, 2018) |
