This 13th Vintages release is the best yet! Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, cedary, rich, wonderfully ripe, Damson-plum-black-cherry-cassis nose with some faintly smoky, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, slightly spicy, intense, bright, ripe, plum-black-cherry-cassis flavours with an elegant, cedary, lingering, very faintly smoky, mouthfilling finish. Malolactic fermentation took place in oak – a mixture of 20% new French Oak; 40% seasoned French Oak
and 40% seasoned American Oak (300L) where it with a aged for 12 months. No fining and hence the mouthfeel. It has 14% alcohol, 2 g/L residual sugar and a hefty 6.4 g/L total acidity. The lot number L9058 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Outstanding value and ready to enjoy.
