PROUD POUR PINOT FOR BEES PINOT NOIR 2019 Vegan, VQA St. David's Bench, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Queenston Mile
Medium deep garnet red colour with a faint hint of amber on the edges. This has an iintense, classic, gently complex nose with ripe Damson plum and hints of black cherry plus a touch of sandalwood. Itís dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy and bright with harmonious, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis-strawberry flavours and a lingering, well balanced finish. This versatile, perfect, Easter crowd-pleaser is pretty much at its peak and I suggest just a serving it with just a very slight chill. Produced from grapes harvested at Queenston Mile's St. David's Bench vineyard, it has 12.5% alcohol and a hefty 6.6 g/L total acidity with lot number 2020-12-09 on the lower part of the glass bottle (bottled December 9, 2020). It spent 12 months in French oak and only 296 cases were produced. Perfect with roast chicken, turkey and especially Wiener schnitzel. CSPC 17182
