GRAN RESERVA 2010 DOCa Rioja
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CONDE DE VALDEMAR
This is the SECOND REPEAT of the 2010 that was last released on March 21, 2020 at $29.95. Deep intense purple colour with no hint of aging. Very intense, complex, cedary, Boubon-vanilla-stick-driven with baked ripe plums on the nose. Dry, full bodied very intense, mouthfilling, cedar-driven, fairly herbal, savoury, tangy and yet extremely ripe, somewhat baked, black-cherry-plummy fruit flavours with a lingering, high acid, rather grippy, tobacco-tinged finish. Well made but a bit overwhelming for me, it’s a matter of taste as to how you will like it. It has 14% alcohol 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number LGRV101326 on the back label. CSPC 960427
