PONGRÁCZ CAP CLASSIQUE ROSÉ Traditional method, WO Western Cape
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer PONGRÁCZ
This crowd-pleasing, bargain-priced, méthode champenoise aka Cap Classique has a bright salmon pink colour. Gently spicy, slightly toasty, fairly complex, ripe plum-raspberry fruit on the nose. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, slightly spicy, bright, ripe, plum-cherry-raspberry purée flavours with a lingering, fairly effervescent, mouth filling, harmonious finish. Impressive and ready to drink. Based on the 2019 vintage, it is a NEW blend of 51% Chardonnay, 44% Pinot Noir, 3% Pinot Meunier, 1% Pinot Gris and 1% Chenin Blanc. It has 12.2% alcohol, 6.8 g/L residual sugar and 6 g/L total acidity with lot number 19G21/19/25/1-LJ130H21 on the back label.
