Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
MALIVOIRE |
This very tasty new rose blend of 88% Pinot Noir and 12% Pinot Gris is a consistent Vintages Essential winner. Bright extremely pale faint pink colour, the fresh, attractive, nose is gently spicy with lots of fresh, ripe apple-lemon-strawberry notes. Dry, medium-light bodied, tangy, refreshing, apple-lemon-cherry flavours dominate with a very crisp, unoaked, harmonious finish. It has 12% alcohol and under 1 g/L residual sugar balanced with 6.7 g/L total acidity with lot number 2022 01 27 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: This enchanting pink wine is a blend of 88% Pinot Noir and 12% Pinot Gris and was cool-fermented in stainless steel. Its fruity-floral aromas evoke rhubarb, cantaloupe, watermelon, lavender and cherry blossom. The lively palate showcases strawberry, cranberry, crabapple, gooseberry and ruby grapefruit before culminating in a lemony finish. Winemaker Shiraz Mottiar suggests a pairing of rainbow trout with jerk sauce on a bun. |
