DOMAINE GUILLOT-BROUX |
VINTAGES ONLINE EXCLUSIVE / NEW in Vintages. Bright medium-deep to deep purple-red colour. Fairly intense, slightly spicy, plummy nose with some shortbread notes. Very dry, medium bodied, fairly spicy, tangy, restrained, plum-cherry flavours with a crisp, straightforward, bright finish with just a faint hint of stemminess. IThis 100% Gamay has 13% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L05 on the back label. I previewed a previously Coravin sample at the Quebec-based Boires Canada new Toronto office at 1583 Dupont St. This first LCBO listing was tasted once.

TASTING NOTE: Domaine Guillot-Broux has been certified organic since 1991. This wine is sourced from a selection of old-vine plantings across the Māconnais. It's elegant and finessed, with dark fruit, spice, sharply delineated minerality and bright acidity. It will be delightful this evening with grilled salmon, or roasted duck breast with plum sauce. |
