NAVAJAS RIOJA CRIANZA 2016 Estate bottled, DOCa Rioja
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer NAVAJAS
Deep intense purple-ruby colour. Very attractive, intense, slightly spicy, gently juicy, ripe Damson plum and black cherry purée nose with some cedary-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, nicely structured and harmonious with spicy, ripe plum-cherry purée flavours with a lingering, bright, toasty, cedar-tinged finish that has great mouthfeel and rounded tannins. Aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels for 12 months, this crowd-pleasing blend of 95% Tempranillo with 5% Mazuelo has 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-030321 on the back label.
