Complex, slightly spicy, gently spicy, attractive, elegant, ripe plum-cherry purée nose with some cedar-sandalwood and forest floor notes. Dry, medium-full to full bodied, well structured, intense, slightly spicy, rich, complex, ripe, plum-raspberry-cassis flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, fairly high acid, harmonious, attractive, smoky-sandalwood-tinged finish. TASTING NOTE: Saturated ruby. Ripe, smoke- and spice-accented cherry, dark berry, licorice and floral qualities on the highly perfumed nose. Stains the palate with sweet cherry preserve and blackberry flavors that take on baking spice, vanilla and candied lavender accents as the wine stretches out. Shows very good depth as well as energy and finishes long and chewy, with dusty tannins making a late appearance. Drinking window: 2024-2033.
