CHARDONNAY 2019 Sonoma County
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SIMI
This new 2019 crowd-pleasing Sonoma Valley Chard seems to have slipped back to a tropical-toasty style of yesteryear. It has a bright light straw colour with an intense, very spicy, very tropical, ripe, lemon-apple meringue nose with lots of cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied and smooth, the spicy, topical-driven, ripe, lemon-apple-pear flavours are followed with a fairly crisp, lingering, bright, rather cedary finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number LW195210on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. The preferred 2018 (**/**+) with 88.5-points was released on January 23, 2021 at $22.95. CSPC 673806
