RARE LUXE DEMI SEC SPARKLING France
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LUC BELAIRE
Another 599 case REPEAT of the popular, non-vintage LUC BELAIRE that was last released on Septmber 4, 2021 at $39.95. Unable to get a bottle for assessment from agent. Here is my previous note: Bright medium straw colour. Very spicy, sweet apple pie nose with some toasty notes. Sweet, medium to medium-light bodied, somewhat soft, spicy, apple purée flavours with a straightforward finish that has modest effervescence. This pricey sparkler is made in the economical Charmat method - not the traditional Champagne method. It has 12.5% alcohol and according to the LCBO website now 40 g/L residual sugar. It is the most overpriced popular sparkling wine I may have ever tasted. CSPC 632356

TASTING NOTE: A lovely, frothy refreshing bubble with aromas of ripe peach, pear and sunshine-dappled orchards. This sweet sparkler is all the dessert you need. Terrific balancing acidity. Pair with fruit flans. Drink [through] 2023. Score - 90 (nataliemaclean.com, Sept. 30, 2021) Price $ 39.95
