| A REPEAT of the 2019 (**) with 87.5-points that was released on May 15, 2021 at $17.95. Here is my previous note: Unoaked Gamay Noir is a success story in Ontario and this barrel aged edition is somewhat unusual as it adds a level of complexity that will not necessarily appeal to everyone. Fairly deep purple red in colour, the nose is quite savoury with some spicy, faintly sour (in a fairly nice way) plum-crancherry fruit with mineral notes and a touch of cedar. It’s very dry, medium-light bodied and quite spicy with very bright, complex, rather savoury, plum-crancherry flavours with a crisp, fairly high acid, somewhat earthy, sandalwood-tinged finish. Quite ready to drink, it has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number 200519 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Aged 9 months in French and American oak only 440 cases were made. Try with hamburgers. Tasted once. |

Bright and juicy with raspberry, red berry, tart cherry and black pepper spice smooth and silky on the palate. Pour with a duck confit or roast turkey.
