GIGONDAS 2018 AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LAVAU
Another great Gigigondas, this time from 2018. Very deep intense purple colour. Complex, somewhat earthy, intense, spicy, slightly baked, ripe plum-cherry-cassis nose with some hints of red licorice, sandalwood and smoky toast. Dry, medium-full bodied, harmonious, intense, ripe, plum-black-cherry-cassis flavours with a crisp, licorice-tinged, complex, cedary, somewhat gamey, slightly smoky, high acid finish. This classic blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L210805G on the lower part of the glass bottle and back label.
