Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TENUTA DI BISERNO
Very deep intense purple colour. Intense, slightly spicy, violet-tinged, gently juicy, ripe, plum-cherry purée nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, very well structured, slightly spicy, intense, ripe, plum-red-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, gently cedary, sandalwood-tinged finish. Intense, would peair this with a rib steak. This rich albeit still refined new blend of 35% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1053A on the back label. It's smooth and savory, doling out ripe blackberry, juicy black currant, licorice and tobacco accompanied by polished tannins. Score - 95 (Kerin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast, July 1, 2021) Price $ 79.95
