Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Very deep intense purple colour. Intense, fairly complex, slightly spicy, sandalwood-tinged, gently cedary, ripe plum-cherry purée nose. Dry, medium bodied, spicy, very faintly herbal, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, gently cedary, firm, slightly herb-tinged finish. TASTING NOTE: This is beautifully composed and expressed, showing blackcurrant, mixed berry compote, violet and cedar characters with a hint of tobacco complexity. It's succulent, plump and flavoursome on the palate, delivering excellent weight and silky mouthfeel, leading to a lengthy flavoursome finish. A blend of merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon. At its best: now to 2024. Score - 92 (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, March 2020) Price $ 19.95
