Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MONASTERIO DE LAS VIÑAS
Deep ruby colour. Gently cedary, spicy, intense, ripe plum purée nose with some cassis-tinged, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, bright, ripe, plum-cherry-black-currant flavours with a lingering, tangy, very faintly, ceday, high acid finish. This “12 Months Barrel” blend of 40% Garnacha, 40% Tempranillo, 10% Cariñena and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 12 months in 70% American and 30% French oak and has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L201399 on the back label. The recommended 2014 (**+) was released on July 25, 2020 at $14.95. Consistently great value! CSPC 166579
