Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MONTEBUENA
Fairly deep purple red colour. Slightly spicy, youthful, plum-apple nose with some faint sandalwood notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, fresh, apple-plum flavours with a crisp, minerally, faint cedar-tinged finish. A ready-to-drink Rioja without too much complexity that has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L187104 on the back label. Screwcap closure. Unfortunately, the two-year old 92-point tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue seems out of whack with what it tastes like today. CSPC 211029
