Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, slightly spicy, ripe, expansive, Damson plum nose with some minerally, elegant, cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, dense, very attractive, intense, ripe, harmonious, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, faintly savoury, minerally, elegant, fairly high acid, cedar-sandalwood finish. This classy blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. Tasted twice. CSPC 266551

TASTING NOTE: Composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Mountain Select sails out of the glass with vibrant scents of freshly crushed blueberries, black raspberries and ripe blackcurrants with hints of dried mint, violets, pencil lead and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate shimmers with gorgeous energy, featuring ... a lively backbone cutting through the tightly wound black fruit layers and grainy tannins, finishing with a minty lift.
