Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer RIZZI
This NEW in Vintages release was supposed to be part of this release but instead was removed by the LCBO and transformed into a Vintages Online Exclusive. I had to order two bottles on September 30 ($50 minimum) and it just showed up on October 8. What an aggravating needless waste of time and money. Here is my tasting note: Medium ruby in colour, the very attractive, nose has lots of ripe Damson plum, black cherry and raspberry-cassis fruit with some floral, rose-tinged, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, faintly spicy, intense, ripe, bright, plummy, raspberry-cherry fruit flavours with a lingering, fairly mouthfilling, harmonious gently savoury finish. Quite ready-to-drink. - what a glorious red for Thanksgiving - too bad that you canít pick up a bottle at the LCB. This 100% Nebbiolo has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L20LN182 on the back label. CSPC 19747
