FLEUR DE SYRAH 2019 AC Costičres de Nīmes
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MICHEL GASSIER
This wine used to be known as LES PILIERS SYRAH but chaged to FLEUR DE SYRAH with the 2018 that was last released on November 28, 2020. This crowd-pleaser has a deep intense purple colour and an attractive, intense, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, somewhat spicy, bright, harmonious, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary , blueberry-tinged, crisp finish. This ready-to-drink organic Syrah has 14.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number LOFF50 on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 678086

TASTING NOTE: The dense purple-colored 2019 Costičres de Nīmes Fleur De Syrah gives up a classy nose of blue and black fruits intermixed with lots of peppery herbs and crushed rock-like minerality. It hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness as well as a stacked mid-palate and has loads of fruit and ripe tannins yet stays nicely balanced and even elegant. It's another pleasure-bent, impeccably made wine from this team that will drink well on release and over the following handful of years.
