CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2016 Napa Valley
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer GALERIE PLEINAIR
This classy Napa Cab really needs lots of time to come around. Extremely deep intense purple colour. It has a huge nose that shows lots of complexity with intense, slightly spicy, somewhat savoury, ripe plum fruit followed up be lots of sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, full bodied, dense, well structured, intense, slightly spicy, huge, still youthful, ripe Damson plum fruit flavours with a very long, lingering, somewhat leathery, rather cedary, still tight, faintly peppery, grippy finish. Aged 20 months in 53% new French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. with lot number L20180809 on the back label and and 14422118M81 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Sure you can drink it now, but it will be much better in a decade or two! CSPC 460709
