Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TENUTA IUZZOLINI
Here is a pleasant, entry level Calabrian red made from the local Gaglioppo grape which is basically anose ancient Sangiovese cross. It has medium-deep violet red colour and a slightly spicy, ripe, plummy nose with somehints of red brick and sandalwood. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, sandalwood-tinged, ripe plum flavours with a lingering, bright, mineral-tinged finish. It is ready-to-drink and has 13% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L19162 on the back label. Goes well with tomato-based recipes. The 2017 (**) was released on February 8, 2020 at $17.95. CSPC 13034
