LOUIS POMMERY BRUT SPARKLING Traditional method, California
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LOUIS POMMERY
This very tasty blend of 95% Chardonnay and 5% Pint Nor has a medium straw color and a very attractive, slightly spicy, ripe, lemon-apple meringue nose with some slight toasty notes. Dry, medium bodied, nicely structured, ripe, lemon-apple meringue flavors with a gently complex, harmonious, gently spicy, lingering, toast-tinged finish. Effervescent, well balanced and ready to drink. Champagne aficionados will find truly terrific value here. It has 12.5% alcohol and only 8.5 g/L residual sugar with 6.2 g/L total acidity. This batch with ADP82176054B on the lower part of the glass bottle and date 03/10/20 means that this wine was bottled in June 2017 with a disgorging on March 10th 2020. It spent 33 months aging on the lees. Bravo! Move quickly as only 66 cases are available. CSPC 15894

TASTING NOTE: Delectable nose of baked golden apple, honeycomb, cornbread, wisteria, flint, and cream. On the palate, it is restrained, mineral, and elegant with ethereal touches of apple blossom and green herbs before a long, bright finish. A truly classic wine. Excellent, Highly Recommended.
