CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2018 DOC Collio
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MARCO FELLUGA
NEW in Vintages, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has a fairly intense, deep ruby-purple-red colour. The nose is intense and quite “fleshy” with bright, ripe, Damson plum, rose hips and cedar-sandalwood notes. It’s very dry and well structured with excellent intensity, high acidity and great mouthfeel. Still youthful, the bright, ripe, plums, black currants and rose hips are just starting to come together and could probably use another 5 years to integrate properly. Has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L.41/1 on the back label. CSPC 19632

TASTING NOTE: \"Collio\" means \"hillsides\" and aptly describes the sloping clay-and-limestone vineyards nestled in alpine foothills in northern Italy, whence comes this Cabernet. The wine spends a year in small oak casks and another six months in bottle before release, making for a balanced, lightly toasty glassful of juicy blackcurrant tinged with subtle evergreen notes. Savour through 2028. Price $ 29.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
