Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LAVAU
NEW in Vintages, this is the 17th release of a Lavau Rhone since 2011 and they have been consistent winners ranging in price from $44.95 down to this remarkable, entry-level value of only $14.95. This blend of 60% Grenache Noir and 40% Syrah has a bright beep violet red colour and an attractive, youthful, fresh, ripe, plum-cherry purée nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, nicely structured, fresh, attractive, pure, ripe, plummy-crahcherry flavours with no visible oak in sight and a lingering, crisp, juicy, blueberry-tinged finish. Has 14,5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L200802G on the back label. A versatile, well-priced, summer sipper that’s ready-to-drink. CSPC 18783
