Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Campo Di Sasso
This delicious 2018 is a blend of 45% Cabernet Franc, 30% Syrah, 20% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdo and is definitely worthy of a detour.
Extremely deep intense purple colour, the expressive, intense, perfectly ripe, attractive, Damson plum and blueberry-cherry purée nose comes with some mineral-tinged, faintly savoury notes. Dry, medium-full bodied and well structured with a dense and yet harmonious, intense, plum-cherry-cassis flavours along with a lingering, fairly high-acid, faintly earthy finish. It has 14% alcohol and 2.5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L9147 on the lower part of the glass bottle.
