NEW in Vintages, the “Limited Edition” Rosso Amabile from Campagnia comes with a sky-high 98-points in the Vintages Catalogue with a dated Luca Maroni note from June 15, 2018. This off-dry blend of 50% Piedirosso and 50% Aglianico has 19 g/L residual sugar will appeal to those looking for lots of slightly sweet, smooth, fruity ripeness. it has a youthful deep intense purple colour. The nose is fresh and juicy with plummy-black-currant-cherry fruit and a faint sandalwood note. Just off-dry, it’s medium bodied and harmonious with juicy, plummy-black-cherry flavours and a lingering, spicy, perhaps somewhat raisiny, Marsala-inspired finish. It has 13.5% alcohol and 19 g/L residual sugar with lot number 2017 7321 which might mean that it was bottled on March 12, 2021 - the 73rd day of 2021. CSPC 19027

TASTING NOTE: (Translated from the Italian) Its fruit is top both in thickness and smooth taste thanks to the pulp and natural syrup of the grape, which enrobe, smooth, silky and balanced, any acidity and the tannins. This is a wine with a creamy viscosity and soft harmony. This champion is thick and balanced to the point that its heart shines through.
