PRIMITIVO 2019 IGP Puglia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer VANITÁ
Some may think that this ready-to-drink, robust 100% Primitivo from Puglia (the heel of Italy’s boot) might best be drunk in cooler weather. In fact, this ripe, blackberry-driven, spicy, red-licorice-tinged red will really hit the spot at your summer cook out - especially with juicy bbq sausages hot off the grill. Deep intense purple-ruby coloured elixir has a bright, spicy, gently juicy, plum purée nose. It’s fairly dry, medium bodied and surprisingly well structured with crisp, ripe, plum-cherry flavours and a lingering unoaked finish. Ready-to-drink, this crowd-pleaser has 14% alcohol and 10 g/L residual sugar with lot number L20307D on the back label. CSPC 569962
