LA REGOLA 2007 IGT Toscana
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LA REGOLA
What a surprise finding this maturing but still vibrant 2007 at Vintages after the 2011 (recommended 90-points) was released on February 16, 2019 at $28.95. This 2007 is rich, ripe and quite ready-to-drink for only $29.95. Extremely deep intense purple colour, the nose is very attractive with intense, faintly herbal, complex, ripe, plum-crancherry fruit nose with some dried red rose and cedary-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, very well structured, slightly spicy, bright, very intense, maturing, plum-cherry-black-currant flavours with a lingering, grippy, high acid, sandalwood-cedar finish. The 2011 was a blend of 85% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. This 2007 has 14.% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L.0710 on the back label. CSPC 420653
