Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer HALOS DE JUPITER
Deep purple colour, the nose is quite spicy with juicy, ripe plum purée fruit with some cedar notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, harmonious, spicy, ripe, plummy, black cherry puree flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp, cedar-vanilla-driven finish. This juicy, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleasing, 15% alcohol Côtes du Rhône blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah is perfect for fun-in-the-sun, casual, burger-inspired bbqs especially if very slightly chilled. TASTING NOTE: The 2019 Côtes du Rhône is a fruit-forward pleasure bomb of a wine that has loads of ripe red and blue fruits, some classic Southern Rhône peppery herbs and violet notes, medium to full body, and a plush, rounded mouthfeel that's already a joy to drink. Enjoy it over the coming 3-4 years. Score - 90-92 (Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com, Oct. 6, 2020) Price $ 18.95
