Very deep intense purple colour. Intense, slightly spicy, plummy, warm ,ripe, plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, rather spicy, intense, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, cedary, bright, faintly smoky, mineral-tinged finish. This 2017 Sonoma County new blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, 3% Syrah and 2% Petit Sirah (no Malbec or Merlot) and was aged for 15 months in French and American oak (40% new). It has 13.9% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number 02921on the lower part of the glass bottle. The recommended 2016 (***) was released on May 16, 2020 at $34.95. CSPC 161380

TASTING NOTE: This Cabernet is sourced from a variety of prime sites, with fruit selected to emphasize the distinct soil types, elevations and mesoclimates available across Sonoma. It's well-balanced and generous, with dark berry, cassis, earth and clove tones. Aged in lightly toasted American and French oak, it has a supple mouthfeel. Try it with a coffee-and-brown-sugar-crusted steak. Price $ 34.95
