JULIA'S VINEYARD PINOT NOIR 2017 Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CAMBRIA
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. This excellent Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir is showing beautifully - classic ripeness and balance with fine depth of flavours. Very faintly ambering medium-deep red colour. A very attractive, distinct, gently complex, sage-lavendar-tinged nose with lots of ripe plummy, ripe red and black cherry notes. Dry, medium bodied, fairly intense, ripe, red-cherry-plum-pomeganite flavours with some hints of sage, thyme and red licorice followed up by a lingering, fairly high acid, gently cedary finish. It has 14.2% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number 20190328 on the back label and on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 980482

TASTING NOTE: This excellent Pinot offers aromas of dried cherry, toasted sage and roasted strawberry that lead into a palate that's snappy and light, yet with tons of weighty stuffing. Flavors of bright raspberry and wild thyme lead into a vanilla-kissed finish. Editors' Choice. Score - 94 (Matt Kettman, Wine Enthusiast, July 1, 2020) Price $ 34.95
