RCABERNET SAUVIGNON 2017 California
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer V Vines
A REPEAT of the recommended 2017 (**/**+) was released on January 11, 2020 at $19.95. Here is my previous note: Fairly deep intense purple colour. Very spicy, bright, ripe, cherry-plum-raspberry purée nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, tangy, spicy, gently juicy, plummy, black cherry flavours with a crisp, gently cedary, raspberry-tinged finish. This crowd-pleaser has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number 04/09/2019 on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 13181

TASTING NOTE: Black cherry notes on the nose here with caramel and mint floating on top and some earthy forest floor underlying. A fruit driven palate with sandy tannins. Full-bodied and nicely structured. Pair with lamb ragu or hearty beef dishes. Very good value. Score - 90 (Carolyn Hetke, thewineloverskitchen.com, Jan. 16, 2020) Price $ 20.95
