Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BRAMASOLE
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Itís not everyday that you come across a premium Syrah from Tuscany. Indeed, the Cortona region is situated just east of Siena and Bramasole is one of Antinori numerous estates. The first vintage appeared in 2000 and this 2017 comes from rather hot year. Deep intense purple colour, the nos shows lots of ripe, plum-black-cherry fruit with a faint hint of herbs and gentle toasty notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, fairly dense, ripe, Damson plum fruit flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, still slightly grippy, red-licorice-sandalwood-tinged finish. NEW in Vintages, it has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L9142 on the back label. CSPC 12741
