Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MATCHBOOK
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. The estate grown grapes were fermented in small temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks and aged for 12 months in French, Hungarian and American oak. The final blend is 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Malbec and 8% Petit Verdot leans toward a hefty Rhone in style in terms of ripeness. Deep intense purple colour. The nose is somewhat spicy, ripe and plummy with some cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, tangy, ripe plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, very faintly bitter, mocha-tinged, high acid finish. Has 13.9% alcohol and according to the LCBO 6 g/L residual sugar with lot number 2930 on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 478743
