Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ANTINORI
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. This 100% Sangiovese has a deep intense red colour. Intense, complex, somewhat earthy, very cedary, warm ripe plum nose with some faint hints of garrigue and bitter chocolate. Dry, medium-full bodied, fairly extracty, faintly spicy, intense, plummy-dried-red-cherry flavours with a lingering, complex, very faintly bitter, chocolate, slightly cedary, somewhat reedy, walnut-tinged finish. Has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L9161. Seems a bit awkward at the moment - give it time and serve in a large wine glass. CSPC 384552
