Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CASA CIMBRA
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. NEW in Vintages, here is hefty Ripasso that offers a symphony of flavours. It has a deep purple colour and an attractive, very ripe, fairly intense, plummy nose with lovely, gently complex, cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, intense, ripe,plummy-black-cherry fruit flavours with some slightly savoury, bright, sandalwood-cedar notes on the long lingering finish. Extremely tasty and well-priced, this blend of 40% Corvina, 40% Corvinone and 20% Rondinella has 14% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L9 on the back label. CSPC 17655

TASTING NOTE: A rich, complex Ripasso made from 40% Corvina, 40% Corvinone and 20% Rondinella and intensified by passing over Amarone and Recioto marc. This shows notions of fresh and dried dark cherry fruit and a wealth of spice. Pair with roasted-eggplant risotto. (Vintages panel, Jan. 2020) Price $ 23.95
